You know that saying, “You are what you eat?”
After chuckling at the thought of turning into a carrot, one must admit: what you put into your body affects everything about you. Food changes your health, speed, memory, performance, or the ability to do something
But there’s something even more powerful than what we put into our physical body. What we put or allow into our minds can affect everything we believe or do!
What enters our mind influences our heart. And by “heart” the Bible means our whole person – thoughts, feelings, and actions. That’s why what we put into our mind is of GREAT importance.
So are you up for a challenge to FEED your mind the food that brings the greatest benefits?
It’s time to feast on truth through SCRIPTURE MEMORY.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
This challenge is all about memorizing God’s Word. We will learn WHY it’s important, HOW to fit it in our day, and tons of FUN TIPS for memorizing. We will even learn a passage together!
I will give your kids practical tips on Scripture memory, strategies for choosing verses to memorize, AND I will give them a challenge “homework” task to implement into their day.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO GET READY:
- Talk to your kids about what they can expect and get them EXCITED about the challenge. If you have teens, this step is incredibly important. Help them understand that what fills their mind influences their whole life.
- Set an alarm on your phone to do the challenge each day. I can have great intentions for what to accomplish each day, but often, if I don’t set an alarm, I won’t remember to do even the best things. Even better, have your older kids set an alarm to help them remind you each day to do the challenge together.
